Hand Made ceramics for your home
Grounded in Love and Intention
Ceramics started with a desire to connect with my mom. She had been doing pottery for ten years, and I wanted to spend time with her doing something creative together.
It took a few sessions, and then one night watching YouTube videos, something clicked. I became obsessed. The wheel spinning, the particles of clay aligning, mixing with water, forming a vessel. I understood that if I stay centered and unmoving, the particles of matter swirling around me will bend to my will.
This practice of finding my center and staying grounded has become my Zen.
I have been giving my pieces as gifts to close friends and loved ones ever since. It has been deeply rewarding.
How it began
Artist statement
We are filters. We move through life experiencing reality and filtering it through our memories, traumas, hopes, and dreams.
Every day I set an intention to bring love into my heart and let it flow through me and into the universe. The creation of these vessels is part of that practice.
It began with a simple desire to gift something meaningful, something made by my own hands. Selling my work was never something that resonated with me, until I found a purpose that did: every piece you purchase funds the free community bookstore I founded in 2020. My glazing philosophy is inspired by geology and the cosmos. We are all stardust, and I work to align particles into vessels that become small universes. I see stars and galaxies in every piece.
As a child, I would sit beside my house, open the faucet, and watch for hours as rushing water carved rivers, mountains, and valleys in the dirt. I was mesmerized as the water dried and seconds became years. I stood there watching eons pass. That same wonder lives in me now when I look down at landscapes from a plane, reading the earth's story from above.
Glazing does that too. The chemistry, the geology of minerals, the intensity of high fire heat taps into that same place in my brain, that same awe.
I put a great deal of love into each of these pieces. I hope they resonate with you.
